Trek Overview
Everything you need to know
The Dev Kyara Trek is one of the most pristine and offbeat treks in the Indian Himalayas, located deep within the Govind Pashu Vihar National Park in Uttarakhand. Known for its untouched beauty, vast alpine meadows, and dramatic mountain landscapes, Dev Kyara is a hidden paradise for trekkers seeking solitude and raw wilderness.
Often referred to as the “Valley of Gods,” Dev Kyara is a high-altitude meadow surrounded by towering peaks and dense forests. The trek offers a perfect mix of scenic diversity—starting from charming Himalayan villages and progressing through thick pine and oak forests, river crossings, and expansive bugyals.
Unlike commercial treks, Dev Kyara remains largely unexplored, making it ideal for those who want to experience nature in its purest form. The trail is peaceful, less crowded, and filled with breathtaking views of snow-clad peaks and open valleys.
This trek is classified as moderate to difficult, making it suitable for trekkers with good fitness levels and some prior trekking experience. The reward, however, is an unforgettable journey through one of the most beautiful yet lesser-known regions of Uttarakhand.
